About
I have taken up the post of Director of the Mary Jaharis Center for Byzantine Art and Culture at Hellenic College/Holy Cross, where I am also Assistant Professor in Byzantine Studies.
Until recently I was a postdoctoral Research Fellow in Humanities at Wolfson College, Oxford, and a member of the History and Classics Faculties. My area of research is Late Antique and Byzantine Studies, particularly history and literature. My thesis was on the sixth-century historian Procopius of Caesarea, the most important historical source for the reign of Justinian (AD 527-565). My thesis is currently under revision and will be published by Cambridge University Press. I have taught courses in Late Antique and Byzantine History at the University of Oxford, at the University of Cyprus as a visiting lecturer for one semester and at Royal Holloway University London.
